Post Pictures of your Beer can finds

Here is me in a crawlspace under a building in Albuquqerque, New Mexico. I'm holding an Eblings Crowntainer Beer can from the late 1940's...we found 105 of these cans along with another 100 cans of various types under there. Let's see what cans you've found while dumping for bottles.

    My Big find

RE: My Big find (yikes: long) Hi Mike: I have a couple varieties of the Schlitz. the toughest is the 1946 IRTP can that says "Kiss of the Hops" on one of the side panels. We found 12 of those and they go for $30 each (although I sold a couple on eBay for $45) We also have some 1949 IRTP...

    My Big find

RE: My Big find (yikes: long) Here is another picture of the other cans we found...55 of which were Schlitz from the late 1940's. The can in the upper right hand corner of the stack is an A-1 from Phoenix, AZ. A can in similar condition sold on eBay 2 weeks ago for $1413.00

    My Big find

It takes a huge find to really have an effect on the market value of the can. Case in point....Back in the 1970's, a can called Cream Top that was put out in the late 1930's would bring around $1,000 as there were only a few known. In the late 1970's there was a find of close to 1,000 of these...

    My Big find

We've been doing just that...we've sold a few, traded a few and are taking the rest to the Beer Canvention in kansas City in September. We decided to be upfront and have posted our find on several message boards. In the past collectors have gotten very upset to find out large quantities of a...

    My Big find

I know this is a forum for bottles but I have to share this find as I'm sure members of this forum find old beer cans frequently. A buddy and I were alerted to a crawlspace full of old beer cans under an art gallery in Albuquerque, NM. It turns out the gallery was a bar back in the 40's. We...

New York Bottle in New Mexico

As for Beer Cans....if you can still read the label on a can when it is found in a dump then it is worth saving. We soak the rusty cans in Oxalic Acid which does a great job of removing rust without damaging the existing paint on a can. Drop me a line if you find any like this! thanks.....Brad

New York Bottle in New Mexico

Thanks for the great information. there is nothing written on the bottom of the bottle. The seam on the bottle runs from the bottom to the top of the neck. Where I found this bottle is the dump site for a family who's lived in a cabin for 3-4 generations...the cabin was built in the late...

New York Bottle in New Mexico

First of all...I am a beer can collector. I find alot of bottles while dumping for cans. While dumping in Northern New Mexico I came across this bottle. It is 8 oz and has the following wording on the label: R. W. Polhemus Co. Inc. Puughkeepsie N.Y. At the bottom is Registered this...
