Started collecting and digging in 1972 when I was 14. Luckily I was in a prime area of Southern NJ around Medford and
Mt. Holly. Joined the Jersey Devil Bottle Diggers Club in Mt. Holly. At that age I couldn't afford to buy good bottles and we only knew about surface dumps, and we cleaned out all the famous ones in the area. Fondest teenage memories were all the hours of exploring and digging. Now I buy and sell only because I live in NC where digging sites are impossible to find.
