lol. [8D] well it was just something out of the norm. for me, i always find old bottles from the 50s and 60s and just leave them or throw them and break them but finding like 1000 in one pit got me going. Least it takes me away from civil war hunting for a bit, and yes some people actually do...
hey everyone , i mainly do colonial/civil war relic hunting, i belong over at TreasureNet but wanted to post this here about a bottle pit i found next to an old 1950-late 60s house site.
Went out this afternoon after work to try and dig some huts in a confederate camp out near Spotsylvania...
There may be no more hope left for me in 1900+ bottle finding [:@] i try and TRY and try to find a good bottle and come to find out its nothing [:(] but hey its still fun [:D]
If anyone can help me i.d. this pepsi/cola bottle better, found it today along the Rappahannock River were i have been finding old bottles at a construction site... let me know if it's a good find! hard to find good 1900+ bottles [:@]
You jus had too ask [8D] lol.. I hit the top of it while digging it up [:@] and the other one is in worse shape then this, however there is still more to be found in this spot by the Rappahannock River near Fredericksburg,VA..
sounds about right !!! the place i was relic hunting i found a couple 1960 pepsi bottles, i was in a part of the woods that was last logged in the 60s.
