i think they're related to the 133.1 "H. Brooks patent" embossed insulators that show up in brooks blue-
Here's one that's brooks blue and a pat. app. for.
Of course... i don't know if hemingray made the brooks insulators or not, just that the pat. app. for's are related to the Homer Brooks...
wow, those bottles suck [:D]
At the TOC dump i dig sometimes, i find all kinds of awful bottles. They suck, and they make me sad. SO, what i do with them, i act like they're artillery and i'm shooting them across the river at a bike path. They never make it to the path, because the goal is...
here's one from my collection that you might like...
so it's not a 512, but it's still pretty interesting eh? Came from a guy in Muncie Indiana.
oh... i forgot, i also have a yellow-ish one
Hey these pictures are great, i go hiking all the time (day and night) and i rarely see any owls. I've "seen" one once, pretty close actually. I was biking on one of the dirt trails that go around Alum Creek (north of columbus ohio- great trails) and one of 'em swopped by my head. I think he...
Guy in one of my classes today says, in response to the blowing snow outside, "...it was 60 degrees yesterday........."
to which i had to say, "it was also 20 degrees yesterday :P"
...60 in the afternoon, and it got down to like 20 or 30 at night- nice.
Nothing crazy happening in Columbus (ohio) yet, maybe we won't get anything-
-while i was staring at my car in attempt to figure out why it's valve cover would be leaking any oil, a somewhat violent storm passed by, and it only lasted for about 10 minutes.
It goes: Calm, super windy, and...
looks like a good bottle- interesting embossing, and the lip looks a bit on the crude side as far as tooled lips go....might not even be a typical tooled lip, i can't tell from the picture.
put it on ebay with a picture of you flinging it
the presence of a "round base" opposed to a typical "smooth base" can aid in dating you insulator a little- i believe round bases showed up towards the later half of the date range Bill gave you, with smooth bases of course being used mainly during the earlier half. I'm sure there was some...
look at that layer...
...lookin' forward to the heart of the garbage, when you get to it
oh, also, when you find the heart... make sure you pop out of the tunnel and yell that you've found the heart of garbage- that should confuse anyone within earshot
the book puts the purple whitall tatum's at 20-30 dollars, and they usually sell for that much (sometimes more for really good ones or if you can take a nice picture of it for an ebay auction)
peach ones are listed at like 3-5, but they are very common so they don't usually sell for anything...
they'd probably make about the same money if they *did use the excavator for bottles...
...the guy that does the gold fever show (Tom Massie, i believe... i like his show more than watching a bunch of sad guys in Alaska with one severely fat man constantly rubbing his face due to the sadness)...
