LOL. Nice Posts Matt :) I didn't realize Bruce was still on here! That pic he has of the quart is from Jim Searle's collection and is one of 2 whole ones known, Matt's is the second broken one to be found that I know of. Weird plastic thingys from a 70's pit?!
Vulcanized rubber. Same as lice combes made by the Goodyear company in 1851.- cadburys

I hear what you're saying about where it may come from but everything about it looks like a US bottle... color, pontil, embossing etc. I spoke to John Pastor about it (apparently Fenton is only an hour drive from New Hudson) he was aware of it's existence but had not...- cadburys

I'm not aware of any. I only collected from 10-15 yrs old over there. I know they had a handful of early open pontiled stuff but it is mostly victorian age for collectors.- cadburys
