Recently dug in a ash dump here in Va. A very clean hutch W.J. Whitlock Mt. Plesant Pa. (Yes Pleasant is spelled Plesant on bottle). I have tried researching only coming up with a bottler in Winchester Va. With the same name. My computer is not letting me load pictures at all. If anyone would...

I have been extremely busy with work and moving but did get a chance to relieve my bottle digging bug last saturday with a new dump just located. I didnt bring my camera to take pictures but found a few nice bottles in a few hours. Found this nice pontiled Hover ink bottle under some tree roots...

Went to give a estimate on a job and ran into a friend who is a excavator by trade.He saves me any glass that he digs up and told me he had somethings for me behind his truck seat.First is a Coca Mariani paris, next was a Mcelrees women's tonic, a small toy sink, and a Brown's chemical bottle...

Question for MORBIOUS_FOD

I have been researching about the Virginia Brewing Co. Roanoke,Va. The question i have is they were founded in 1889 and sold various products and even sodas,do you know what brand or brands they sold? If you have any information on this and the possible time lines i would appreciate it.

Do the KR-43 also come in a green color? Seems i have either dug or seen a few of this similar bottle in green.

Confederate imprints

Jamie, i showed these to a friend who is a curator at the local historical society and he told me any paper item that was printed in the south during the civil war was considered a confederate imprint. As far as i can tell from reading these you are right on about these being from a company who...

These confederate imprints were also found in the same attic in Lexington,va. There are several of them with the following turnpike company's - Raleigh and grayson, Wythe, Middleway and Geraldstown, Indian poll drawbridge co. I only took picture of one but the others are in similar condition...
