Well in an unfortunate turn of events , the DAD of dadsjars is no longer with us.[:(]
HOWEVER, the over 2000 jars he collected in a short 2 year span are. I am doing my best to find them in the red book but I don't think that I am going to have the skill that he had in finding them. Most of...
RE: Atlas HG / Lt cobalt- not in red book (pic)
Here is the pic. Its the best i could do to get the color to show. The jar is obviously darker than the cornflower. Don't mind the lid. It's all we have. So Back to the main purpose of this post, Any guesses as to the value of this jar.
I am absolutely positive it's not cornflower blue. It is darker and deeper than the cornflower blue. I am trying to get a pic and might be able to by tomorrow. Hopefully i can get the color to show properly.
Well after a few days I have to assume that no one else can find what I'm talking about either. Then again That could be a good thing. Maybe ?? I will try to get a pic of it and post back later. Thanks for trying anyway.
ok Yet another puzzler. The pint and quart are in the book but nothing for a half gallon Atlas in lt. cobalt . Yes I am POSITIVE its that color because it was compared to color slides. Any ideas about it's value or commonality. Sorry no pic available for a few days but it would sure be helpfull...
Dad's got another one!!! Here is the description It's just an Atlas EZ Seal like the rest BUT it has T shaped dimples and the base of the jar is squared but the jar is round. If that sounds firmiliar to anyone. Does anyone know how common of a jar this is. Photo will be available soon if needed.
I will get a pic as soon as I can, in the mean time I can give a little more detail as to what they look like and guarantee that they are not repro's. The blue one is confirmed to be Cobalt rather than cornflower blue, in fact it is almost the same color as those small border lines on this page...
I'm trying to find out some info on two atlas jars . Both are quarts one olive green and the other is either cobalt or cornflower blue. Both have straight writing and the green one has no writing on the bottom other than the mold #. Any ideas on there value???
