I am 34 years old and live in Washington state. My father passed away November 19th and I miss him more then anything. He told me before he passed, so many stories about how he collected things growing up with his dad in the Nevada dessert, especially old insulators and old bottles. I now have his collection, and it is awesome. My dad wanted to sell a bunch of the bottles to finance a trip we had planned together, and I kept telling him " no dad, we gotta find another way, I love these bottles!", but now I have a mission to complete, and that is to ride my motorcycle to his home town of Yerington Nevada and wander somewhere I think he might have gone in the desert when he was a kid, and spread his ashes. I have no clue about the value of some of these bottles, but I am now open to letting most of them go to finance this trip. I think he would approve of it, and I think he would get a kick out of knowing I found an online community just for antique bottles and would love the fact that I'm gonna learn a ton about the ones I now have. I have a Facebook account but haven't used it since I departed from the Marine Corps, which was over 10 years ago. I haven't ever been into social media and thus the reason I am so technically challenged, so to anyone who reads this, I ask for your patience with me if I struggle with internet stuff. The name Dink1957 is a reference to my father. His nickname when he was a child was Dink and he was born in 1957, so that's how I made my screen name.
