If the jar had the closure and was in mint condition would be worth around $850-950. In present conditon probably $400-500. You could have the jar cleaned and see how it turns out.

Adding Colour to my Collection!

In RB11 it lists a olive green color. Nice color and good add to your collection.

Unusual glass lid bale seal type

I agree with Tammy it is a jelly jar. These are called Ripley jars. Came in various sizes. Jerry

Cleaning bale wires

I don't clean the bale wires. If you wanted to would use WD-40 with 0000 steel wool. Then coat with 3 in 1 oil. I like to old look of the original wire bale so don't touch mine. Jerry
