Thanks for the replies. Based on what's been said so far: It might be irradiated (or irritated, depending on who you ask[:)])It's probably from 1962.My hair might fall out if I handle it too much. Well, that's a start. I was hoping for something more definitive, like "Oh hey, that's a '62...
Hey all. It's been a while since I've visited the forums. I picked up this amber Coke bottle over the weekend, but I don't know much about it. I'm in the process of researching it, but I thought I'd post it here, maybe get some quick opinions on it. As you can see, it's amber. On the bottom is...
Of the replies posted so far, I like the last idea of giving them to kids at bottle shows. [:)]That sounds like a good way to preserve the history, so to speak. Anything else I would fear they would end up being destroyed. The OCD side of me hates the thought of that! If I use Craigslist, even...
So as with any collection, I've accumulated a small quantity of "spare" bottles, ones that are duplicates or have been upgraded to something more collection worthy. There's nothing of any value, but I'm not sure what to do with them. I attempted to sell them at a yard sale at 25 cents a piece...
When I first started collecting Coke bottles, I wasn't interested in the "Coca-Cola bottling works" bottles at all. However, they're starting to grow on me. Any idea how many different ones exist? Hundreds? Thousands? I picked this one up last weekend.

Well, if it's really a Coke bottle, then it should probably be in my collection. I guess I should go back and buy it. Thank you for the information so far. Does anyone have a picture, or a link, of what it would normally look like?
So is it really a Coke bottle mis-print as the seller is describing it? And what makes it a mis-print? What's missing? Perhaps I should go back and buy it.
I came across this bottle at an antique co-op, and I'm not sure if it's a genuine Coke bottle or not. I have my doubts due to the smooth mid-section, but the seller's price tag says it's a "mis-print". Here's a few pics.

I collect Coke bottles exclusively, and other than the Christmas releases, the ones I like best are the bottles that commemorate obscure events. This one's at the top of my list. I've had this one for a little while now, and I just found another one on Ebay (Don't bother looking. I bought...
HOLY COW!!! There's a lot more out there! Is that all of them, or are there more? Do you have a total number of how many different ones there are? (Just the Cokes) Thanks for the pics. It's encouraging to see those. [:)]
I came across these at an antique co-op this past weekend. I forgot that Coke made this style of glass bottle. These are Walt Disney World 15th anniversary bottles from 1986, but I remember this style was standard issue as well back then. Does anyone know what other characters they issued...
