Thanks all. Pretty much what I told the friend who wanted to buy it. I gave him the link here so he can hear it from the experts.
Just want to say thank you to everyone who chimes in every time I ask a question. Your advice is much appreciated!
Yes, the thing next to it is the stopper. I'm not interested in buying it, just posted for a friend who is looking at it for resale. It didn't look right to me but what do I know. I'll tell him not to pay $500. What do you think it's worth?
I'm optimistically posting in "before 1900". Found today at a yard sale a glazed brown pottery flask about 5 1/2" tall embossed Liberty on both sides and a portrait of who I think is Columbia also on both. Bottom has number markings but I can't really make them out. So, what is it and how old...
$50 each on the looped boots - $30 each on the glazed boots without loops - and $20 per miniature jug. Prices include shipping with tracking number and I can do better if you buy more than one piece. Tiny looped boot is already sold.

Yes, I heard from Brian and he was kind enough to give me info. I'm going to sell them but am waiting to see if he wants any first. Thanks for all your help!
