Well, here's the thing. Just recently I started doing a history search on our house. I was able to trace back pretty much the entire family (we are the first owners of our home that are not related to the family(s) that originally owned this home) Basically this house has been in the same family...

Yep. I found a child's headstone from 1884...in my garage. He was 1 year and 3 months when he died. (We recently moved to a new home about 4 months ago) never noticed it. We just thought it was a big rock/stone...my husband moved it today and found it was engraved on the other side. So, how's...

Kind of funny.. my son has both of those (he's 3) and plays with them all the time. Never knew they were old (er)...He must have boxes full of matchbox/powerwheels. They are his fav... grandma buys bags at yard sales full of them. Maybe I'll have to sort through them and see if there are any...

One more question...I googled the merthiolate bottle, didn't come up with anything that looks like my bottle...do you have any links for that one? Could it be poisinous even after this many years??? My only concern is that I am 7 weeks pregnant, so I don't want to handle anything that could...

The Esqiure bottle is a shoe polish from what I found on the web. I says Esquire Scuff-Kote. Still some in there. The one laying on it's side says Rawleighs (which is a medicine?) I'm kind of curious what kind of medicine it was (if that is, in fact what it is) The liquid in there looks really...

I found this in a 1950's-ish trash pit. What is it? Looks (to me) like possibly a light from an old car? I have no idea though...

I also found some sort of light fixture...may have belonged in a car? I have no idea... I kind of figured none of those bottles held any value, but I still think they are kind of neat looking. This is only my second dig, so finding anything is exciting to me:) lol.

I found a small trash pit on our land over in Wautoma WI. I'm guessing most of it is 1940's/50's but still some neat stuff. Any info/dates on any of this is greatly apprieciated. I know I have a Parker ink bottle, Evening in Paris Perfume bottle and (I'm guessing 50's) Pepsi Bottle. The rest...

Thanks Rick! Any ideas as to what it actually might be? I'm thinking your probably right about nothing good being in there... the concrete blocks that form the walls look fairly new, so it may not have been there very long. It still baffles me though. The dirt in there reminds me of the dirt...
