Pre-1900 Beer bottle I think

Thanks "bigkitty53" for the reply. I'm not going to anything as far as cleanning this bottle untill I find out more about it. I have been trying to work with the words on it. I am unable to find anything that even comes close to looking like this one, in any of the books I've checked so far...

Privy Diggin........

[:D]I just recieved a great email on privy hunting. (Out-houses here). I was told to look for lilac bushes off the back door. I guess it was a common practice to have the bushes near the privy. Just thought I'd share the information I recieved.

Pre-1900 Beer bottle I think

[8|]I found this Bottle today. It's 10" Tall and 2 1/2" at the bottom. It has a parcel label on one side and a neck lable. ( unable to read) I havn't done anything to it as far as cleanning yet. The bottom is indented like a champaine or wine bottle. There is a think liquid inside. I'm not...

Here's a pic of the bottle I was talking about. I found out alot about Garrett & Co. but not about this bottle. I know that they went from making wine to making flavorings at the start of prohibition.

I just found another bottle. It's light green in color. It's embossed on the shoulder, " S-T. B. Co." and below that is, "CONTENTS 12 OZS." There is no lable. Embossed around the bottom, "Stark Tuscarawas Breweries Co." The bottle has alot of bubbles in the glass. The only thing I know about...

Thanks for the quick reply. However that's not the same bottle. This one is tall and tapered. It has embossed around the bottom "CONTENTS 1-5/8 PTS

I'm not a collector or anything. However I'm doing some remodaling on my home ( Built 1889) I found a few old bottles in a crawl space. Sorry my digital camera quit working. One is an embossed clear bottle. It has a green metalic neck ring, and a embossed eagle with Garrett's American Wine...
