I have this tumbler listed on ebay. What are you thoughts..is it a piece of early glass or not? The person I got it from seemed honest about it being dug up, but how can I really tell? Thanks John
..I have 36 Coca Cola aluminum caps, that have various athletes pics on them..such as Dan Fouts, Roger Carr, Jerry Robinson etc etc. If interested let me know. Regards
Thank you Jim, I did try to probe area...i keep hitting rock. I am going to dig there a little tomorrow..after my wife goes to work. The spot is sunken in...I am very curious, I just wish I would not have put my dog kennel there. I'll let you know tomorrow. Thanks again!
What do you guys think...would an older pit/privy be closer to the house or farther away? I think I have a potential spot but it is only about 15' from my back door...in line w/ the door , the problem is that it is in my dog kennel. Thanks
Next time I'll take some pics during the dig.....here is a pic of the haul from the 1st. pit/privy, over 200 bottles...i wish it would have been older.
Here is a pic. of the lip of a jar I dug sunday. I have never seen one like this...double threaded....sheared ..? Have you seen one like this before? Any thoughts... Thanks
I found a second privy in my yard, and finished digging it sunday. It was wood lined approx. 4x4 and about 5' deep. The stuff appears to be a bit older than the 1st privy, but not as old as I would like to find. Here is a pic of the stuff that was not broken....odd jar with double threaded...
Buster, I have had some excellent sweet tea...but never in a mason jar...I'm sure that would be very refreshing on a hot day in the fields. No I didn't go to Georgia Tech, I worked as a conductor, and went to Norfolk Southern's engineer school...cho cho u.
