I do know of that image, both American bottles. I am looking for earlier British pontil examples. Thanks though. :) Yes, maybe he will chime in, he does seem to be "The Man" when it comes to this topic. KK

Can anyone post an image of an early Stoughton's Elixir? Can anyone post an image of an early Betton's British Oil? Were either of these ever embossed? Finally, any post an image or have an early Godfrey's Cordial to sell/barter Thanks all, KK

Stoughton Bottles

Stoughtons as known is quite early and likely started being sold it is said in globular bottles, before odd shapes for bitters and such took off. How about 1790-1810...globular? Anyone got images of a stoughton from this general time frame? KK

Robert Turlington's Balsam Of Life

Have I missed it, or have we chatted about other mispellings? The A/O in Balsam/Balsom but I recently seen on Ebay a BALSLM, no doubt it was a "L". Anyone seen this. Okay, editing here, just saw Road Dog mentioned it. Now, if I can only find a nice small square embossed late 18th century...
