My dad got the G.W./Gen. Taylor flask in a box of stuff in an auction, I bought the blue flask from an antique shop for $5. Anyone know anything about these?- kybluegrass

Yep, tent rope tighteners! Some are from 1861, some are from 1908, they all look about the same. In 1908 there was a tent city here, housing troops before Ft. Knox was built. Diggin' for the first time....
Found quite a few minnie balls, one US box plate, a spur, various brass belt buckles and other hardware. Since this was a working farm since 1909, all the fields have been plowed dozens of times, mixing stuff up so I cant tell age by depth. I've found CW bullets at 2" and 12". Thanks for the replies I'm going to keep at it. This is an interesting place. Our family has owned it since 1909. The army trained on it in 1908 and there was a civil war camp here for a month in 1861. You never know what you could pull out of the ground. At this old home site there are two...- kybluegrass
