Sanborn Fire Ins. Maps Help?

No Kinko's out here in Podunk, IL, but the local newspaper can print them up. I just wanted to know what size was "original". I figure I'll get them all printed and roll them up. Then I'll take 3" PVC and glue cap one end and put a screw in cleanout type end on the other, so they don't get...

Sanborn Fire Ins. Maps Help?

I recently aquired Sanborn maps of my hometown for the years 1886, 1893, 1899, 1906, and 1912. I mainly collect hometown bottles, so I'm excited about this. The maps I have though are high quality digital scans and are saved on my hard drive and on CDs as pdf files. I can zoom in really close...

GET BOTTLES FROM YOUR STATE

Still looking for bottles from Hillsboro, IL. It's a podunk town, so it's a long shot, but just in case someone's got one or any collecting dust in a box somewhere. I'd also be interested in surrounding towns like Litchfield, Nokomis, Pana, etc. Thanks.

Question for local collectors

I ran into a situation the other day that I thought I'd put to the forum for opinion. A guy called me that had found a local 1890's drugstore bottle. I didn't have it. When I met up with him, I asked what he wanted for it. He asked what was it worth. Well, bottles from my little podunk town...

Schram or other Jar Lids

Does anyone out there deal specifically in lids? I need a few ORIGINAL Schram Jar lids (2 7/8" & 2 1/2")and wire bails. Also, I have a few other jars I need the correct lid for. Some I'm not even sure what the "correct" lid is. There has to be a market for original correct lids. Does anyone...
