Norm thanks for the info I'll check out your suggestions. I didn't think it was that old I should have bought more the guy had all kinds of labels from Grace Bros. is there any way of preserving the label I've just been keeping it in a closet.

Thanks Roger that makes sense. Is there book that shows the history of bottle making in the U.S. that would help me date and explain some of the diff. markings on the bottom?

Here's a shot of the bottom any ideas what any of the markings are? What's the off center oval? Is that the mark made when they stamped the markings ?

I bought it at a estate sale along with some old prospecting equip. The seam goes up all the way over the top.

Thanks I'm new to this and am frustraded by not being able to fiqure out what was in the bottle, when and where it was made. Does this happen often? Do bottle that you can't I.D. have any value? I think the best part of finding a bottle is not the beauty of the bottle itself but knowing where it...

Dug this bottle near Mendecino Calif. in an old sawdust, refuse dump. Logo says S&B or B&S no other markings. Seams go to shoulders Please help! Posts combined - Admin
