I have a chest of drawers my Grandma had the local jack of all trade's guy make..with deep drawers..He used scrap wood..found advertizing for coffee..stuff like that ..outside was probably the only wood he bought! this was made in about 1930 or so

I know one southern Junkins..got an ex son in law..his parents came from pa when he was a young boy..haven't found any thing about his people further back than his grandpa..family tale was the name was mcjunkins..
Ever see that on a new jar? I went to can something and found a mason golden harvest pint in my stash with whittle..inside of jar is smooth..you can feel the whittle on the outside..
Hi..to clean rust from chrome..use tin foil and coke..wad up foil..dip in coke..scrub away..works great..

That whittle still happens today..I have a golden harvest mason pint that you can "feel" the wavyness..it caught my eye when I started to use it in canning..
