    Jarden jars as of 2016

    Jarden (now part of Newell Brands) owns the licence to sell machine jars under the names of Ball, Bernardin, Kerr and Golden Harvest. Does anyone know what company or companies actually produces the actual jars for them as of 2016, on which the brand names / insignia are then stamped?

    Can anyone point me to any research that's be done into how / why 70 mm and 86 mm won out as the two standard mason jar mouth sizes in North America? I'll keep on Googling but haven't come up with anything specific yet. Cheers.
