    John Nash

HI I just received an Email regarding the John Nash aqua bottle. The bob top is not a frequent bottle found. There are a couple of variations ( other might be a hutchinson's). Howerver the one who started the freshwater brewery at 6 blower St in 1858 (or before ) was Thomas Nash who ran it...

Blob Top Torpedo C.MUMBY & Co.

I am looking to acquire a torpedo Mumby and Co like the one shown in the picture above in this thread. I found one while diving in Halifax Harbour a number of years ago but the entire upper portion is missing. The bottle does not have to be perfect ( i.e I would accept a bottle with a chip)...

    Old champagne bottles

Dear Irish Could you post one or two pictures of those early champagnes? I would like to see how they differ. Do the earlier ones have any value? None of the champagne bottles shown above have any marking of any type nor do they have any symmetry. Thanks Thierry

Anyone know what this bottle held?

I believe what you have in nothing more than a worthless mass produced spice dispenser that once had a paper label and a plastic sieve on the top that would stretch around the lip. Cheers Thierry

    My first case gin

Nice find! The color of the bottle appears to be a yellow green. I have several in my collection but I can never leave them behind when I find them. Many of the European ones are embossed and quite valuable. Cheers Thierry

    Old champagne bottles

Thanks for the exchange of imformation. The shape of these bottles is definitively very common. The more recent ones are made in BIM fashion however some of the ones we find are much older, lack symmetry and ave swirl marks in the neck. The glass is thick and the bottoms are not pushed...

    Old champagne bottles

While doing bottle diving I recover frequently free blown champagne bottles. They are certainly old and made with thick glass. The bottoms are pushed in several inches. Early one's have impurities and twist marks on the neck. They also have a distinct tape of glass to finish the neck. I can...

    The Rest of the Bottle???

Here is part of a beautiful torpedo that was recovered while diving in Halifax Nova Scotia. The bottle is made by: Mumby and Co from Portsmouth and Cosport. The front has a beautiful Royal Anchor. I would like to know if someone has of seen the intact version of this torpedo and how common is...

Let me know when I start to drive you nuts...

Hi ... I would put this medecine in the late 1700 to early 1800. It is a nice example of a free blown. I was likely used to carry oil. Cheers Thierry

    Three old mallet bottles

Dear Ron You are correct. Unfortunately one of my intact specimen has suffered a minor chip on its delicate lip. A number of borad arrow bottles have been recovered in our waters. I believe some are very collectable. The broad arrow is found on many items owned by the military. The are...

    Decanter

This bottle is simply stunning! If it is as rare as some cathedral bottles is could be worth if fair share of coins. cheers Thierry
