Here are my date code Dominion cokes. The snow made the pictures hard to see. First pic is a 34 and the second a 36. I am almost sure I have a 33 but cant find it at the moment. I'm assuming these are date codes not just a coincidence.
I believe I might have a dated 33,34,36 Dominion cokes but the two digit date codes are much smaller vs the late 30s ones. They are in storage right now so next time I'm their I will have a better look.
I always thought the non dated cokes Consumer and Dominion were 20s. I have at least 50 hobble skirt cokes but most are Dominion. I do have a 41 Consumer so they must have dated the other years in the 40s? Regardless am going to need to start checking all the broken bases I come a cross lol.
Do you know what year consumer glass switched to the two digit date code? I know its got to be some time in the late 30s because i have a consumer two digit 39.
Most of my cokes are Dominion but I have some Consumer glass ones from the late 30s with the standard date codes like 39. I also have some Pre 1931 Consumer and Dominion (dateless) cokes but the full date ones seem to be harder to find. It could be something to do with the Depression maybe? Or...
I have dug many hobble skirt cokes over the years and noticed some have the full dates on the base. It appears to be only the 30s I have seen this done. Out of hundreds of broken coke bases I have seen only around five of them having the full date. The only two intact ones I have I noticed are...
