I came across this excellent historical reference for Lauren Bottling Works looking for information on PLOTTS Soda bottle, and found it very comprehensive concerning LGW, and I thought it deserves it own thread. They bottled a lot of Coca Cola and Pepsi-Cola in the Southeast...
Actually the letters are 143 LGW, which is likely Lauren's Bottling Works in Lauren, South Carolina. It is not certain, but from the website the number 143 or I43 indicates bottles produced in 1943. The following website gives a good history of the Laurens Bottling Works...
I will send a picture when I get it cleaned, but for clarification.
PLOTTS is in big letters across the shoulder at an angle. RANDOLPH BOTTLING COMPANY is in smaller print around the base.
I looked through my bottles and found the same one dated A52 without the dash, likely a 1952 bottle, and with a printed label. Yours likely had a printed label.
Oldest ink well I have, bought in China when I lived there. Not glass, but dated from the Qing Dynasty, I have not been able to date it with certain but likely 1700's to the 1800's
