    Quick update for those interested.....dug a little while in the mud. Found so many broken bitters bottles I could have almost cried. If I'd have broken 'em myself I probably would have cried, lol. All those bricks and rocks thrown in this cellar hole really put the whammy to the good stuff...

    Country Privies

    In the country, they often had more area to dispose of trash and they most often hauled it to a nearby ditch or some such place that they wanted to fill in or keep from eroding. Most of these are now filled with dirt and silt so locating them is a bit tricky.
