    Jackson,MS show

Great show as always. I really like the 'new' place they had it this year. I remember in years past it was in one of those 'long' halls and it just wasn't as cozy. Plus, this year it wasn't snowing! [:)]

Couple of Tuscaloosa Alabama SS Cokes

Thanks Jarvis! The story really 'made' these for me. There is actually a photo of the sparking couple from that day as part of a large crowd...but there were no coke bottles in evidence in the photo although you can see some picnic baskets and buckets (of food, I presume) on some benches in...

Couple of Tuscaloosa Alabama SS Cokes

Got these from a family that found them in an old trunk. There was a note in there from the grandmother describing how the two cokes were part of the picnic where the grandfather proposed to her. The family kept the note. It's interesting that the two bottles were evidently in use at the same...

    McAllister's MOCKING BIRD FOOD Bottle

I found this bottle in an outhouse pit in Alabama today. The other material dated from about 1890 to 1920 or so. It has a seam to the shoulder, a threaded neck and a sheared top. Ideas on age, scarcity and value?

    OLD UNCLE TOM GIN Bottle

6&1/2" tall. The mold seam stops at the base of the neck. Lip seems to be tooled (?). Has one tiny bubble burst on the surface near the bottom and there is a small chip under the rim of the lip. Slight haze from digging. Ideas on value, age and origin would be appreciated. Thanks!

Central Alabama, west Georgia, north Florida

Looking for digging partner(s). I don't mind traveling or sharing. I'm new to bottle digging but I've got over 20 years experience digging Indian relics and metal detecting. I don't dig behind a partner's back and I don't take other people to the honey hole. chipolaman@yahoo.com
