Hey, this is Tom Askjem from ND. We were messaging a couple years ago about DT bottles. I've been doing a lot of digging around the Dakotas and have come up with a bunch of stuff. Was hoping to get in touch with you and talk bottles. Is there a number that I can reach you at?
I found this info. I have both the Gustave Pomy and the Segulke blob sodas made from the L&W glass co. The L&W glass co closed down in 1872 or 1873, making those sodas early although Gustave Pomy purchased his bottling works from "E.D." I'm not sure if there are embossed bottles from that...
Also wondering if there are colored sodas from the state and if there is anything pontiled and how many known pre-hutch sodas the state has. Thanks, Tom
Much appreciated info. I've dug a good few broken stoneware bottles in Maine. I have a Wentworth's and a Higgins stoneware soda bottles in my collection. If I dig any pontiled sodas from Maine, I'll let you all know. Thanks again
Wondering if pontiled Maine sodas exist. Seems they should; the state is older than states with pontiled sodas.although I've found no info. I once dug an 1870's pony style soda from Portland, ME although no pontil. Also wondering if there are colored ME sodas. Info, pictures, or both much...
North Dakota and Minnesota. Found 3 aqua patent meds, 2 local North Dakota pharmacy bottles (non-territorial although close) 2 aqua Dr. Wards, 1 amber and 3 aqua Watkins and 15 or 20 un-embossed pharmacy bottles. All tooled or hand applied tops.
