Is Bromo Selzer from O.B.CO. rare?

Thanks for all of your information! I am slowly giving away and/or selling bottles collected over the last 50 years and this is a very cool one so I appreciate your sharing your knowledge!

Is Bromo Selzer from O.B.CO. rare?

Thanks for your comment. I agree that nobody may care, but with thousands of Bromo-Seltzers out there it seems that one or more collectors might find this bottle interesting as obviously only a few were produced and apparently only a few have survived.

Is Bromo Selzer from O.B.CO. rare?

In the 48-page “Bromo-Seltzer in the Cobalt Blue Bottles” (https://sha.org/bottle/pdffiles/Bromo-Seltzer.pdf), the authors state: “Despite a significant search, we have been unable to find a single Bromo-Seltzer bottle with an O.B.CO. logo.” O.B.CO. was the Ohio Bottling Company reported to have...

    Illinois Glass?

Thanks, DavidW. I think you are right as I have also read that the mark for Illinois Glass was on the bottom. I have done extensive "research" and cannot find anything/anyone connected with the I. C. Co embossing so the mystery continues...thanks for your comments!

    Illinois Glass?

Thanks for your comments. Yes, the seam goes to the top of the lip, and yet I agree the base does not look like most ABM products. It even has a few small bubbles that make me wonder when it was made??? It may always be my "mystery bottle" but I'll let you know if I find out more information...

    Illinois Glass?

I have the attached bottle with clearly embossed panels on both sides: I. C. Co. It would seem to be from Illinois Glass when they had a period (1870-80) of using I. C. Co. rather than I. G. Co. However, there is a seam at the neck that goes to the rim, suggesting a machine-made, so a much later...

Mill Hall PA milk bottle question

Thank you and a very special shout out to your Dad for the very helpful information. Until now it has been next to impossible to find any information about Pifer and Yearick so you have provided a real boost to my research and provided a small but incredibly important historical fact regarding...

What Can You Tell Me About Batchelor's Better Beverages?

Wow! Thanks for the information!!! I have been getting nowhere looking for "Better" in the name, and while this source you so generously shared with me doesn't mention it either, everything else seems about right. This could be the connection I'm looking for...many thanks!!!

Mill Hall PA milk bottle question

Thanks...I suspect your point is on target...a dairy would have to have a very short history to have so little information other than the embossed bottle...I am actually intrigued with the "mystery" as much as with a vintage bottle in near mint condition...kind of fun!
