An old digging partner of my dad came by today and offered to sell me some bottles. He and my dad dug back in the 60's. There was several I was familiar with but one I was not as familiar with. It was a Baker's Vegetable Blood and Liver Cure bottle. He said it was a rare bottle and back in...
I got this little bottle yesterday at the local flea market? What is it? I thought it could be a whiskey bottle? I just bought it because I liked the shape. I only paid $5 for it. So I am not out of to much if it isn't worth anything.
I checked a few that I had out and found one the 3 3/8 that has a F on the bottom and poison on the left side only. I got to check some others. I know I got one somewhere that doesn't have poison on it. I have one question what is one 1 3/8 tall with poison on both sides worth? Is it...
I found these 6 Hutchinson bottles the other day at the flea market. I really didn't want all of them but when the deal went down I took them all. The two I really wanted was the C.C. Habenight Columbia, SC and C. Valaer Bottling Works Charlotte, NC mainly because they are local. The other...
Thanks, Andy. It isn't rounded on the backside it is diamond shaped but it does have the bumps along the corners top to bottom. I did get it but for a lot less than 50 bucks. May be I didn't over pay to much. Thanks for the info. dfw
I added this little poison today to my collection. I have been eyeing it for a couple weeks at a flea market. I was finally able to get it at a price I could live with. It is only 1 1/4 inches tall. I have never seen one that small and had to have it. Now all I need is the large size to...
I was at a flea market and ran across a little poison bottle that I had never seen before. I have about 4 sizes of this poison but none this small. It is one of those brown half square with a rounded back . It was only about 1 inch high. I have never seen one that small. I was wondering if...
I checked the bottles for a makers mark the only thing I found was D.O.C. 6-5 on both bottles.. I reckon it is the maker. I checked a couple of the clear and Aqua bottles I found at the the same site that are the same style and they had the same Maker mark if that is what it is.
Scott, my father and I dug them back about 1970. They came from a dump at a shanty town at one of the dams that was being built on the Yadkin River. The dam was started in 1912 and completed in 1917. We dug 25 - 30 straight sided Cocoa Colas at this site and we both found one of this color...
While it was raining this afternoon I have been plundering through my Cocoa Cola bottles and found these 2 straight sided bottles. Would you call their color citron? If so does that make them rare or more valuable than the other straight sided bottles? I have found clear and Aqua bottles...
