So can't find the NN brewing history link, but you might like the site below better. It is a 1990 architectural survey of NN from 1600's through 1900's. Dry material, but regarding brewing it mentions outside operations that set up branches like Pabst, Hoster, National and Robert Portner as well...- VABrew

Looks like the type of chemicals you would find in a science or pharmaceutical research laboratory. But embe is right the labels do look Latin rather than English or German, etc. Mallinckrodt is still around today as a supplier, although may have been bought out a few times.- VABrew
