buried some bottles

While digging a hole for a pond insert I had the idea of burying some really common and not now old bottles (if you want to know, Anheuser-Busch) for future bottle diggers or archaeologists.

that is awsome. With a friend of mine( we were like 12 at the time) Made a time capsule once with my friend and buried it in his backyard. That was years ago. I remember putting in a little plastic army man, a penny from the 70s and a piece of paper with our names. I think that was about all. We were kids. It is in a plastic bottle. Funny the things we do.

Time capsules, yea that's kewl. Trouble is people pass on and they are forgotten. Maybe that's the whole idea. Yea, understand that whomever finds it will be way way into the future and will think they hit the mother lode. Put some old items in it, make someone real happy someday. What a concept!

I work in constuction and some people long ago used to use newspapers to insulate walls. They are always a good read at lunch. I have found cans, tools and all sorts of things left in the walls. I think by mistake sometimes i think on purpose. I have left cans before just for the next guy. I do tile and one time left a brand new quarter under a tile in the center. i left out the cement in a small square. I wonder if it will be found one day?
