I picked up a 30 label lot of old unused paper soda bottle labels from a local picker. He says these have been in his collection for 40 years. I am posting the 7-Up labels because they are just so darn cool. A note on the labels said that these are the first version of paper labels for 7-Up. I'm not sure if this is true or not but the labels are great history non the less. They kind of hit on the theme of a few other threads being Lithiated, The bathing suit girl is all white and the label features the 8 bubble versus 7 bubble.
I takes the ouch out of grouch and cures hangovers! If anyone has a bottle with the label attached I would love to see it.
I will post the other 27 labels I got just for the amazing graphics and historical impact. Some of the old soda you dig up would have had a label like them.

Yeah, that label looks great on that green bottle. I have not seen that brown stouter bottle before either.
Thanks for sharing that picture!

the old paper labels are hard to find cause obviously not many survived

some of the unused ones did often survive , sometimes the bottlers kept some of the old unused labels , a box might of been saved or left to gather dust in a back room of the old plant

not sure if this label was ever used in Canada but does appear to be the old 7up label from when they used paper labels in the 30's before switching to an acl bottle

Nice labels JKL. I have seen those before quite often. They are early 7up labels. Mid 1930's I think. I got a 7up PL bottle back in Jan and been meaning to post it. With the help of SodaBob. We believe it to be the very first 7up PL. I hope to post it soon. Thanx JKL for posting your labels.

I have that exact same label in my collection and am debating whether or not to put it on a bottle from the era.
Here are two pictures I snipped off the web that shows displays from 1931.
