Looks like your lacking in your Beer Can Knowledge. Sure, Southern Brewing did make a Cone top, BUT, That's Southern Brewing Co of Tampa Florida. The can above is Southern Brewing Co of Los Angles California. Maybe you can convince somebody in rusty bunch it's real & rare only one known to exist, you might get offered thousands or try that on ebay & maybe you'll get thousands. Good Luck.
I joined this site because it was for people with similar interests. I didn't expect the rude comments and am very disappointed with them.

Ah, ok. Sorry thought it was same company, lol. Just started gaining knowledge on Beer cans. I wasn't saying the one this thread was about was real, I was just saying there always could be unknown varients, but that is highly unlikely and this can would have to go through emense study to prove that. Didn't mean to seem to question you Hemi, I continue to respect your expertise since you are one of the few big can collectors I know.

There's also a Southern Select "J-spout" can from Galveston-Houston Breweries Inc.

no one is suggesting a fake can would be anything but fake so no need to “convince” anyone.

Rusty bunch is a great group of people, who are very helpful and some of the most knowledgeable collectors out there.

anyone looking for information about beer and soda cans will find tons of info and plenty of people to share information - but - you already knew that

I have 45+ years experience in Collecting Beer Cans & Specializing in Beer Cans. With out going into complex fine detail to the original Poster who wouldn't understand, I just made it simple & vague that this Beer can was not a real cone top. After telling him this & he said something like, to the affect that I chose to believe it is real anyways because it was found in a shed & Rusty. SO, He disregarded everything I said. giving me the impression I don't know what I'm talking about or I'm a liar. SO, Because of that makes me feel like I gotta convince him. I made fake cans like this in the 1970's when I was a Kid, The Beer Can Books from the 70's would tell you exactly how to make them. It's a common thing to do & see. To the non collector they have no clue this is even possible. You can go to the rusty bunch but when I was in there I had more knowledge then most of them in there. Some will tell you that but others will say I'm a azzhole only because I think I knew everything & posted to much, posted to much knowledge which some people did not like.
