Just picked up this Rare Detroit Flask. One I've been wanting for Years. Only seen 1 other. LEON.

That's a really good looking flask. I've always liked that style of flask with slug plate embossing. Congrats on a great bottle.

Nice find, Charles T. and Frank J. Schmitt were at 43 Cadillac Square in the heart of downtown Detroit from the 1890's until 1901 as partners...

They owned bars at 43 and 47 Cadillac Sq.

The Address on this Bottle is 37 Cadillac Square. The 37 is kinda hard to see, gotta be just the right angle & lighting, Hard to get good pics. The Embossing is kinda light on the top half. New Pic below. LEON.

Even better, from 1883-85 the Schmitt Bros. was owned by Charles T., Ernest L., and Albert C., with John G. working there as a clerk. For a few years that address is no longer used by them, then in 1891 Albert C. and Frank J. are running the business...
