Howdy all. Sharing a pic of my two amber orange crush bottles. I didn't realize they were different sizes until I brought the 2nd one home.

I've been going through some old threads trying to read up on the brand. Seems that the 8oz is a bit more uncommon size.

I have a few questions.

I collect mostly specific towns. If I've found one from a town, how likely is it to find different variants fron the same place? Im thinking size (#oz) or variant, say the clear version. Some of the OC posts reference a book. Would it have a breakdown by town kinda like the coke book?

Long post. Thanks for reading and any feedback.

The book doesn’t have a town breakdown but there is a Facebook orange crush collectors group where someone might have something…

Yes agreed the book has no breakdown on towns or bottler marked bottles.
It is possible to find variants from a specific town/bottler....but seems easier to find state specific examples.

Hi webe142, I have some different Orange Crush. I don't collect any ACL ones, but among those I have, there are 3 variants from Milwaukee, WI and 2 variants from Richmond, VA. I don't collect by town, but I'm certain that there are other towns that have made more than one variant. Likewise, I believe there are many towns that made only 1 variant of Orange Crush. I haven't seen any book that has the town dimension for Orange Crush like Porter's Coke book does.

The Orange Crush book called Krinkly to Mae West by Michael Rosman is an excellent and very comprehensive book on Orange Crush bottle variants, and yet does not list the town dimension.

Hi Webe 142... perhaps the book being referred to is mine... the 3rd.ed. on O.C. bottles....your two amber bottles, both American, are lovely... but not uncommon to rare. With respect to towns, the O.C. company had many glass manufacturers around the country producing bottles, and most probably only a few styles of bottle. To collect multiple 'styles' from one bottle manufacturer is unlikely than getting a single styled bottle. I tried to track down bottle manufacturers for O.C. glass but was unsuccessful - an impossible task. Hope that helps a bit on the 'past'.... Regards, Michael. PS- be glad to send along a copy of my book... just contact me..
