Had a great, 3-dive day recently. The visibility of the water was amazing for this particular river.
I observed a large, hibernating frog ( arms folded, legs crossed, eyes shut, nestled amongst some rocks ), about a dozen painted turtles, some in pairs, a few mother-with-young teams. Had never spotted such turtles in this river before, only snapping turtles. Add to that two large pike & a muskie! Quite the aquarian show on a warm, cloudless, late autumn day.
To top it all off, I found this old black glass bottle with a funky top, a local milk, a crown-top local soda & a gorgeous blue milk of magnesia.
