Hemi,
Thanks for all the info. You should consider a photobook--"The Demolition of Old Detroit", perhaps. I'm thinking it could be a winner. Btw, is there a lot of competition that you know of going through the remains of such sites?

NO, Not alot of Competition that I'm aware of? As far as I know most people I know don't even like to venture into Detroit, Afraid of getting Mugged, Shot or Killed or CarJacked. I've had some scarry situations before. gotta grow eyes in back of your head if you know what I mean. BUT, I did see one tore down house where someone already dug out some bottles in back before I got there so somebody is competition. I work in Detroit which is my advantage over most other Bottle Diggers, I get to spend lots of time in Detroit & it don't bother me at all. LEON.

All the times I passed through Detroit my entire life and never picked up this hobby or saw an old bottle like the ones you find there. Shame I left, on the same hand that's awesome you get to witness history and do collecting here and there!

I can just imagine what it would've been like in the old Detroit suburbs-breweries all over the place and people living in relative excess. I used to dream when I would drive down the spoke-like major roads that coincide into downtown Detroit what the old buildings would've looked like at their peak. What old fort street would've felt like to see people showing off muscle cars. And to feel the energy of old motor city and the people who built it. I love this hobby..
