They do? Being from Florida, I'm familiar with this one, and there are plenty more to be had. I think some are embossed W.T. & Co. on the base?

The bottle looks to be an apothecary bottle, probably newer than 1900 in my opinion. It's that 'flatness' look I've seen in repro bottles from India (in the top of the lip, and/or on the base with...

    Pepsi -Carnivalized!

Alright, haven't been on here since forever, but been actively finding some really great stuff! I'm mostly in the pontil area of things, so this is the only post-1900 item I've bought since the...

I'll get a better pic later today, didn't notice a backwards N. The Botting embossing wasn't noticed by my friends, who still didn't give even two craps about it. : )

That's a nice one! Usually, I only see flasks made by them, and jars. Superb find!

    Hutch embossing error- found!

Here's an unusual find, and where it was. Just moved to St. Louis, so I'm starting to look in dug holes in construction. This hole is near the railroad, just west of downtown. It did all the nasty...

    Re: Historical geometric flask find!

I find that there are times to do this, and times not to. It most likely was originally bought via an auction parcel, so it's provenance was probably lost, and pricing and description suggests they...

    Re: insulators for sale

Otis patents, but no hardware attached. In my book, considering the damage, if you got $20, ya did swell.

    Re: Post your jewels!

The olive Hemi 40 is one of my favorites. It's such a regal shape, and the Hemingray examples have a slight mark of perfection compared to Brookfield's. The olive tones just make them even more...
  14. Re: E.D. Meyer cobalt blue Augusta geo. soda pontil

Check out the user's posts. There are only 5, and only about his bottle. It looks to be in pretty rough shape, with bad staining and some deep scratches. Still, a great bottle!

    Re: Historical geometric flask find!

You keep saying this. It just feels you're trying to discredit this example, or do you have a personal vendetta upon the GVIII-2?

This flask has been in the hands of many collectors since it was...

    Post your jewels!

So, being an insulator collector on a bottle forum, it's pretty hit and miss to see something new or stunning. Not that everyone's insulators aren't their own jewels, but the best ones seem to fade...

    Re: Historical geometric flask find!

I think you may have missed the point.I posted to the 'New to the Collection' category a GVIII-2 Keene flask found at an antique store. I've already deduced it is real, and posted it as my find. Some...
  20. Re: E.D. Meyer cobalt blue Augusta geo. soda pontil

I personally appreciate the offer to us collectors of a rare bottle, undoubtedly, but there is a section to solicit the sale of a bottle on this site. If you don't have a price in mind to sell at,...
  21. Re: Auction: Beautiful CD106 Hemingray No.9 Milky Jade Aqua, Is this Vaseline?

I'd say that yours is the more common light aqua jade (milked up aqua). This milky glass was an occurrence in some Hemingray tolls (CD 109, CD 113, and CD 121, also with the AM. TEL. & TEL....

Re: Blob top madness and others

Woot! What a haul! The yellow blob looks quite nice, and the W.M.H Earl must have been some popular stuff, found it here in Missouri, has a nice deep, but clear, red amber color. Quart hutch with a...

Re: Estate Sale Bottles, Two Unopened.
