That diamond pattern is really nice. I don't know what makes people think that bottles look better painted!

Thanks for your messages guys. Those dates are helpful. Yes, maybe that is what registered meant. Probably meant it was a quality product that could be trusted. Or had to do with the trademark also.

Don't do it until you get their permission. Trust me it's not worth it otherwise. Find a No Trespassing sign and call whatever number is on it. Those hunting clubs usually don't mess around.

Nice new addition to your collection. Lots of bottles on Ebay go without bids or only get one bid anymore. I want to say it's a buyer's market but shipping fees are painful!

Seeing the bottom of one of them would be helpful but they have a 1960's look to them with that design and embossing. NDNR bottles were a thing in the 1960's and 1970's.

That is an excellent looking bottle! There's a clear one on Ebay selling for $45.00 in average condition so I'd say you got a great deal on it.

Nice collection there! A six pack of Coke was quite a bargain back in the day, apparently.
  11. Question about "REGISTERED" embossing

What year did bottles start to have the word "REGISTERED" embossed on them? Was there a law regarding this, which made the bottle makers start putting it on bottles?

I'm thinking more 1880's to 1890's. It has the exact same style as a Chamberlain's Cough Remedy bottle.

So that's what that color is called. I just thought it was a version of cobalt. This seems to be the same blue as Phillips Milk of Magnesia bottles.

Things could change but as of right now collectors enjoy items that are "survivors" and don't want them repainted, reconditioned, or preserved with clear coat. I say try to clean them enough to get...

Nice bottle! Should be a 1931 since there's no dot by the 1 on the right. Otherwise would be a 1941.

Nice finds! Glad that someone is still able to bottle hunt at this time of year. The 7up's are a little different but they are out there. Never heard of a Kickapoo lol. Sometimes I wonder who came up...

I agree with all of the above. It's been my experience that many medicine bottles don't have any exact "dates" on the bottom of the bottles. The numbers and letters you are seeing would pertain more...

I've never had the privilege of owning such bottle! Seems more rare because it wasn't distributed nationally and the company only existed for a very short time. That should go for at least $50.00 in...

Yep now it's part of Anheuser-Busch Inbev and just another common beer brand. It's pathetic they still have the nerve to still put Latrobe on the bottles. What a joke.

Thanks for your insight. I'm thinking that too. Maybe there were hundreds but not many survivors left now. It is one of the best bottles I own. Even picking it up makes me nervous lol.

Very nice. Seems to be a big difference in the age of those bottles. The water one would be a lot older. And I always love finding Rolling Rocks. That style of bottle suggests it's the 1970's version.
