too bad we didn't know who purchased it so they could be alerted to the fact they paid way more than they should have and maybe they would create sales trouble for the seller.Joel
I would think it could have been flint. It is a rare bottle indeed. That is the problem of people trying to induce color, they change otherwise, valuable collectors items into junk.
Dean,Check out his other bottles and you will find many "zapped" bottles for sale. He/she has some that are authentic, again, giving validity to statements that some altered glass brings suspicion to all the items for sale. Beware and don't purchase from these people. Period!!Ever!!!!Joel
Thanks Eric,I have been sick again. Trying to make it to spring and beyond. Happy New Year to all my fellow collectors. Keep it honest and keep it safe.Joel

No not an alteration but tooled that way. It is a variant. That particular style did come with a flared lip, though. It is the one with the pillars and I believe a hunter with a staff. I can't even remember the name of the bottle. They say the mind is the first thing to go.Joel
Looks like most came from a turn of the century dump! Soda's may be of minimal value. Sorry, I don't know much about soda or beer bottles. Cobalt is a milk of magnesium.Joel
The most I ever paid for a milk bottle is $50. It was a local and hard to find. The most I ever paid for a bottle is $750. That too was a local, a poison. It was pristine, with label and part of the Greer Collection. Butterfly effect? Top dollar, I know. It probably won't ever see that level of...
Thanks for the finely worded lesson on turn molds. Your bottle mysteries.com/welcome/ is showing now.How is NY and your vacation faring? I haven't forgotten the three pitchers I need to mail to you. I have been bed ridden since we spoke last. I will do that and other chores I have...
