Excellent points, Tom. Welcome aboard, as well.

    Auburn NY bottle help please

Depending on what she's asking of course, it may be worth buying the whole collection just to get that bottle.

    Auburn NY bottle help please

Nice looking bottle that might be a good one. Looks like a root beer. About 10" tall? Can we get pictures of the bottom?

Came up empty handed hope there is more.

I still can't make out what this one says, regardless of the file size. It's focused on the stuff in the background, not the bottle.

    Lets see some slug plates

Good stuff. Love the embossing on the Ekhardt & Becker.

    1 creek 2 dumps.

I've seen them in sidewalks in older cities, but they were cylindrical. Maybe somebody else has seen your type in use.

    Lets see some slug plates

You noticed! An extreme rarity, indeed. Picked it up off a dirt pile on a construction site and was pleased with just finally finding an Americus Bottling Works. Wasn't until I got back to the truck that I wiped the glob of red clay off the back side and saw Coca-Cola.

Very rare green made in Havana Cuba Coca Cola

I don't know a thing about Cuban straight side Cokes, but that thing looks hellacious! What a heartbreaker!

Box of many old, dirty, bottles

I'm wondering to whom you are referring. Who is right to ignore $$$? The owner here is talking about turning a 2,100% profit, not the aesthetic beauty of the bottles. I've never professed to be an "expert", but new members do reach out to veteran collectors here for guideance in various...

    Found a sign today.

I agree, that even in that condition, your sign has some real value to it. Looks like an early one. Very nice!

Box of many old, dirty, bottles

Yeah, 2,100% profit sounds great, IF you can find anyone to buy them. All good profit on paper if your time is of no value. Even if you value your time at the current minimum wage, and I would assume that you value your time at more than that, then when all is said and done, if you actually...

    Lets see some slug plates

I love the items in the background, but they sure make it hard to read the embossing on the bottles.
