Definitely recommend looking at Ball Jar page. Post some pics too. (There are clear jars that are rare too)..You can purchase Doug Leybourne's Red Book if you want to look up prices and rarity, but due to variety, you still may need an expert to help with identification.

Will keep an eye out. Not sure if it was you or someone else looking for this before. Definitely have seen one somewhere before. Would recommend the Ball Jar page.

Try digging from side and getting below the bottle. Also use a soft implement to dig with and go slow.
Digging by hand works too, but can have disastrous consequences, requiring immediate first aid!

No Indian bottles right now. Had an embossed Pontiac Dairy w Indian on it that was cool though. Also wanted to comment that I have similar Chapman bottle wo the Indian. Cool Idea for collection though. Will keep my out and let you know if I see any or pick a cool one up.

You can pull up old maps using your address. Aerial photos only go so far back, but also some of the scanned topo maps will show approximate locations of structures.

Don't give away your location, but are you near Seekonk? My wife and I live in Michigan now, but recognize all of the place names for where your finds were manufactured.
Have always read that trash at old dumps is layered. So if looking for older go deeper. Another possibility is to look...
Going to reply to my own post..A customer on eBay recently asked me about C.E. Posey Dairy near or in Marine City, MI. Has anyone heard of this Dairy? Nothing available online that I could find.

Not a lot of books on the subject, but have run across a lot of people that collect specific Michigan Milk Bottles. Would love to talk more and see pictures from collectors!

Agree with Canadian Bottles..Someone who collects a certain Dairy Co or may just like the look of your bottle, and want it. On eBay start at a reasonable high price and always make sure listing is set to accept offers. Sometimes you will get a lot of watchers without any offers if selling buy it...
A couple more photos of the Wolverine Bottling Works..like most of the pictures bottles I haven't had a chance to clean it up since I picked it up.

A few more of my recent acquisitions..Coke, blob top is a repo. These are mostly what I have on display around office while I am working from home, but I have a lot more that I picked up over summer. I will post pics of some of the cool ones later.

Make me an offer or I can throw it up on eBay and send you a link? (I love to sell my treasures so that I can buy more.) Whatever you think it's worth, I won't be offended. BTW, that is a 1pt, 8oz Detroit Michigan bottle. WB initials embossed on bottom. Pat date is 1924.

No problem. Just a chance to talk to someone else who appreciates cool bottles. If you come across any more cool additions to your collection make sure to post!
