    LARGE HEMINGRAY INSUALTOR

You have found grandpa Hemingray. If you find a female (which is considerably smaller, and less brightly colored) they will produce more insulators for you.

    Flea Market this morning

Nice photo, and nice finds! I don't know anything about the Clinton (soda?) bottle, but if you pester enough folks on here you can find out about it. I spent a couple of dollars on a NC soda at an estate sale two months ago... turned out to be worth at least $100. Small bottlers = few bottles...

new to the madman collection lol

Good finds, Mike... you're a great scrounger! While Charlie may be known as the "Jumbo" finder, you might go down in history as the "honey jar guy."

    I HATE Black Boogers!

Nice bottles! The modern Hoyt's cologne doesn't smell like licorice at all, which is interesting since I didn't think they had changed the formula since the original. I'll have to check that out.

    Dot Pontil?

Being new to bottle collecting the thing I fear most is my own ignorance, so let me ask a question just to be sure I understand... ...she is selling a whiskey bottle with no embossing for $10? Or do you folks who have more experience than I do see something else? If you do, please let me...

    Estate Sale Pickups

Jim, There is an indent on the bottles themselves, and the labels are pasted inside a thinner piece of glass, which was then attached to the bottle in the space provided for it. The label that has fallen off has lots of adhesive residue on it. Here are some photos. Mike

    My first big insulator....

Amanda, I have the same problem... I buy stuff with the intent of reselling it, and then I think, "Heck, I'm only gonna make a dollar or two, why not keep it?" My tiny collection (compared to some of our friends on this forum) is probably worth $200 to a novice, and worth nothing to a serious...

    Estate Sale Pickups

Went back to the estate sale yesterday... most of the good stuff was gone. Didn't find the elusive dose cup (Joe-look for a PM). I did pick up another apothecary bottle (no label on this one). Wife snagged a toaster oven for $5 (gotta love half-price day).

    Anybody know about old cameras?

Thanks for the price info, Sloughduck. They really are in almost new condition. The bellows are perfect on both of them. Is ebay the best place to sell them, you think?

    Estate Sale Pickups

Thanks Joe... may take you up on that. (Bought my new saddle for the bike today... might put it on and take it for a spin if it cools off later). I'm going back to the estate sale tomorrow for 1/2 price day, so maybe I can find it then. There are a couple of other things that I wanted to get...

    Anybody know about old cameras?

I picked these two up at an estate sale today for a few dollars each. I was going to stick them in my "antique" booth for $10 each, until a guy at work said they might be worth a lot more than that. So I called my buddy who is a professional photographer and collects cameras, and he offered me...
