    Portholes From a Shipwreck

Uber cool finds. Definitely metal detect that area and dig what you can. Excited to see what else you find

    Cobalt Poison Bottle ID

Yours is a KU-18, also a lovely bottle. Comes in several colors and sizes. You look to have the big one which is extra special. I’m blessed with the same one

    It's Quilted!

It’s definitely not a poison. Most likely perfume as everyone else is leaning towards. Being the size and shape, could be designed for travel and not the usual square bottles for the home. I see it had a paper label or at least a spot for one in the front. Cool find as I’ve never seen one before.

    Strange Poison Bottle

Indeed a KD-1. I don’t have any details written on this than what I have. Probably the same as the one you have here. Definitely more rare than the KV-1

    Cobalt Poison Bottle ID

    Indeed a KR-6b. I can’t recall the value but it’s a lovely scarce bottle

    Poison bottle won't stand upright

Very common KV-1. Though you could make an entire collection out of the different sizes and variations. Some actually do have value. I posted a chart here years ago on this bottle. May still be located somewhere

    My First Poison (Bought)

This is a very common British poison. Many used this basic hex bottle with any number of rib designs, embossing and colors. The 2 usually is the ounces it contains, but the size of this says otherwise.. would take some book digging to see if I can ID it

    Tonopah pick up

The KC-1 on the right is a great bottle. There are so many sizes and colors documented along with makers marks on the base. I only have 1 or 2 in my collection. Always loved this bottle

    Blue poison 1st find

This is a KS-2. From my site: These came in 4 sizes: 3 1/4, 4 1/2, 5 & 7 3/4” The sizes larger than 3 1/4 are very rare. They come in Clear, amber, cornflower, cobalt and Moss. There are no 3 1/4” in Moss known. Always a beautiful find

    The Most Expensive Poison Bottle

Absolutely beautiful . I haven’t picked up anything new in years. More of a passive collector ATM.

McCormick and Co, more info please

The McCormick bottle is a KT-14. Common in cobalt. Rare in cornflower. Known sizes are 2 3/4 & 3 3/4”. There has been debates on if the Laudanum it contains was really considered a poison back in the day, but caution was advised. Last time I spoke with Jerry, there was still no clear cut answer...

    My first poison!

This is a KR-43. Sizes range from 1/2 oz to 32oz. Very common in Cobalt. Rare in amber , teal and clear. (Though there is some question that the clear even exists) $10. The amber bottle is one of my favorite affordable poisons. KR-9. $15

    Wellcome Chemical !

I don’t think so. Not all chemical bottles were in “poison” bottles (by definition). But that locking top of that first bottle is most unique. A keeper for that alone.

    Little Poison W/Applicator

Interesting bottle. I can’t say it’s considered a Poison. Besides the faceted shape, does it have any embossing?
  15. P

    Labeled poison/skull and crossbones object

The bottle is a KT-9. Most common in 3 1/4”, but there are 4” & 5” which are scarce. Can have Triloids, Trilets or Poison on the embossed sides. $10-15

A few of my "Not to be Taken's" English poisons

Nice set. Got several English Poisons, but none are green. We just had very few English bottles on our want list, so we only got a handful

    Poisons with original contents

Unless embossed, the bottles are considered General Purpose and not Poisons. First bottles is probably a later issue of what was the KS-12 before Bakelite caps took over and the industry went to paper labels only.

    Skull and Crossbones Poison

It’s a KS-12. Yes, very common $5-10. There is a more scarce variant that is 31/4” tall with a longer neck. Has B.H. CO on base. That one is about $55

The Owl Drug Co. and Others...

Got a similar bottle in 8”. Embossed “Standard Pharmaceuticals “. We loved our Owl bottles.

    The Most Expensive Poison Bottle

I have ever only seen 1 Grand Pappy KT-1 for sale. I had to sit and drool at it as I couldn’t compete in the bidding war. Would be a great addition to any Owl Drug collection, which I have many. It sold for $2840. BTW, this is the exact photo we used in our club book
