newbie to the bottle buzz cleans bottle

I am very new to bottle hunting (dug up my first ones 3 days ago) and was very daunted because every single bottle was full of dirt and roots. I tried using a water-pic to flush the dirt out and managed to remove the bulk, but some of that dirt had no moisture in it for over 100 years and just...

Vase or jar?

This was found right under the soil on my parents property in PA (after finding this we dug and found and are still finding many old bottles and jars). Thw seem runs through the lip so I know it is manufactured (that and the thickness is rather unifrom) but I can't tell if it is a vase, a fancy...

Numbers on bottom of flat bottles

My mother came across a "dump site" on her property in the Mountains of PA, and we have found many interesting bottles there so far (common ones like the large size Mellin's Food Bottles and pinex bottles) but many of the bottles have no identifying marks other than numbers on the bottom. I...
