light fixture?

I found this in a 1950's-ish trash pit. What is it? Looks (to me) like possibly a light from an old car? I have no idea though...

Trash Pit

I found a small trash pit on our land over in Wautoma WI. I'm guessing most of it is 1940's/50's but still some neat stuff. Any info/dates on any of this is greatly apprieciated. I know I have a Parker ink bottle, Evening in Paris Perfume bottle and (I'm guessing 50's) Pepsi Bottle. The rest...

bones.

I found some bones from some animal....I can't figure out what it might be from. I live in Oshkosh WI so if anyone can identify any of these that may help. I belive the jaw bone is a lower jaw...originally thought maybe a deer, but after looking more closely- I don't believe that's what it is...

Digging w/o a probe?

Can you dig/ find privys w/o a probe? I realize this is going to make the process a lot more difficult and time consuming...however (as many of you know) I'm new to all of this and I currently do not own a probe. If someone can tell me how I can make one or where I can buy one...that would be...
