    Different mason jar

No ajohn, none of them were BPM's. Probably what I've found wouldn't be very interesting to any collectors. Most are blue or greenish color. I haven't located any of the stubbies yet. I'll have to go to my bro's house and see if he got them. He was over here a couple of weeks back and did...

    old unopened whisky

Tinna Speaking of not normal candle holders....I went to Bing and was looking around. A place called Antiques R Us has the neatest candle holder. It's a red Christmas tree with the branches frosted like snow. It's 1 sided and uses a votive to light up the tree. It's called Mikasa Winter...

    old unopened whisky

Hi Tinna Here's a pic of the mark and the holder. I don't usually use 'normal' holders either, but when the power went down, I used whatever was left in the stores to use. Thing is, I think this one was already here in Mom & Dad's house, cause I don't buy the poured into the holder kind like...

Forney's Dairy Palmyra Pa pint milk

I'm sure you tried the google thing as I just did. Nada, zip, except an obit for Forney in 1912. In my search I did come across this site. she collects PA milk bottles, and there is a link at the bottom to contact her. You could give that a try and see if she knows anything about it. Oh..I'm...

    old unopened whisky

Hay Tinna While I have a gal's attention...do you burn many candles? And if so whenever you might get a chance, will you look at the bottom marks of the holder and see if there is a mark that is basically 3 lit candles side by side in an image of a candle holder.? The one I have is square'ish...

    factory mark

Hay Just Sounds like a plan. I have no idea what was here except cow pasture when Dad bought the place....the land. Daddy went to a auction South of town in 1953 to buy a propane tank. I guess back then you could have propane in the city limits. Anyway, he bought the propane tank, and the...

    factory mark

Hay madman. Thanks! Right now I'm using the pinkshovel to dig out Mom and Dads house. They lived here for 53 years, and Mom was just a crappy houskeeper, and Dad Never Threw Anything Away! I just posted a question on the chat forum about finding More empty whisky decanters and even more Full...

    old unopened whisky

Well..I got deeper into Dad's closet and found more than pretty little empty whisky decanters. Actually I did find 4 more decanters with labels and some whisky left in them. But I also found some bottles Full and unopened. While looking up the pretty decanters on ebay to compare, I saw sells...

    factory mark

Thanks ancient! I know that website well! It's been my bible, since I started digging into Dad's basement, closets, barns, etc. This one just got me because it's stamped in a different direction from the rest of the numbers on the bottle, so I just wasn't sure about which way to read it. Now...

    factory mark

Hmm. I wish I could read the bottom of his bottle better. His mfg mark looks way different from mine, as best I can see it. Do you think they really only filled it that full? Does it evaporate? Do you suppose the 53 on mine means 1953? Ah well, it sure is a pretty bottle I got. Thanks for the...

HELP me identify these old drinking glasses

That's what I told her Clam.. it may as well be plain ol beer if ya can't see the cool layers. LC, I hadn't thought of them being made For a certain store. That means I'll probably never have an answer..sigh. Well, I'll just keep waiting...maybe someday. Thanks to all!

    other bottle mark

Hi judu I was thinking since it's just a common Smirnoff bottle someone else probably had a dozen of these and could tell me right off. The back of the neck has 1818 embossed on it, but I know this bottle isn't that old. There are dates all over it in the fancy front design. There is a 6...

HELP me identify these old drinking glasses

Thanks Everyone. I've been the ebay route, the library, the web. Nada. There are NO MARKS AT ALL on these things. I looked at Fiesta and all the rest named here. Arggggg[:(] They may just remain a mystery. I took pics into the local shoppes'. Nothing. I even posted a pic on Craigslist and...

HELP me identify these old drinking glasses

Hi everyone. Still more stuff found in one of Dad's barns. Man they were ucky, nasty, filled up with things [:'(] I don't want to think about, laying in a rodent eaten box in the hay barn...I'm still finding stuff in there. I just found an old brass Pyrene fire extinguisher yesterday. Anyway...
