    Small Torpedo Bottle

Hi Red Matthews, Holy buckets I'm trying to imagine what the bottle looked like this thing came from. Yep, it's hollow. I don't have a drafting template (are you referring to those plastic sheets that have circles and triangles?) I compared the very tip of the "mouth" where the...

    A Few Small Bottles

Only marked with a 143 embossed on the bottom, it's about 3 inches tall, corked still, and contains residue of what looks like iodine. It also looks like someone went out of their way to seal the cork into the bottle with something (wax/glue?) Maybe it contains a trapped evil spirit. [:D]

    Small Torpedo Bottle

Here's a bottle that must have left the original purchaser still thirsty. It's about 6-1/2 inches long and thick as heck. Unmarked it kind of reminds me of a fire extinguisher ball I once saw, but about 1/4 the size.

Anyone in the East Greenbush/Schodack NY area?

Hi, I've been collecting for a few years aquiring many of my bottles from garage sales, relatives, and finding them laying around as I metal detected a site. I'm very interested in learning about privy digging. I live in a house built in 1783 and I can guarantee no one has ever dug. I can...

    Unmarked Whiskey Bottle

Anyone have any idea about this one? It's not marked but has a nice pattern and it looks like a ground pontil. Thanks, Matty

Weird bottle with a spout at bottom?

Hello, I found this bottle in a box of bottles given to me after a relative cleaned out his attic. I'm thinking it may be some kind of laboratory bottle. It's around 7 inches high, very thin clear glass, the seam goes horizontal around the bottles mid section? It has a small spout/spigot type...
