Here are some of my latest stuff. I haven't posted in a while, but I'm still collecting.
Here's a KT&K porcelain whiskey jug with purple Klein Bros. and Hyman Spring Lake graphics. Still has some of the gold leaf left on the lip and handle. I love the snake handle on all of the KT&K jugs...
Some of my recent Antique Mall deals. I love going to antique malls to find bottles because a lot of the dealers have no idea what they have. Most of the time, dealers don't think bottles have value or don't know they have value, so they end up selling the bottles they acquire really cheap, no...
First off, I don't know where else to put this since it's not a bottle, but if there is a better place I will move it.
I recently took a trip to Canada and popped in some antique stores along the side of the road as I went. I got some great deals on some great bottles, including a clear...
I haven't posted in a while, so I'll just dump all my finds in the past few months here. Nothing special, just some bottles I picked up just because I thought they were cool or were just cheap. I'll post pictures of some of the bottles in sunlight when I get the chance.
Rheinstrom Bros Eagle...
I just found this, and bought it out of curiosity. I just don't know if it's a reproduction or not. It looks like the identical mold from here, but it's a smooth base and has textured glass, as if it were a more modern reproduction. I don't know if the textures were intentional or not, like if...
Can anybody tell me more about this bottle, or give a date of it's creation? At first I thought it was a bitters or a some kind of spirits, but I googled and found a previous post on here that it was some sort of sauce bottle. It's got a crude applied top, and lots of unevenness and bubbles. The...
It is very crude and uneven in shape, with a chipped all around lip. It looks like there's some sort of pontil on the bottom but I'm not sure. Can someone put an approximate age on this bottle? I think it's freeblown...
Please bear with me, I'm going completely by memory of what I saw, so here it goes...
It appeared to be a historical flask, the front with a portrait of George Washington, and the back with General Taylor. It had a light aqua tint to the glass, and had a tapered lip with a crude applied top...
Football season started for me last week, but I'm still hitting flea markets and antique shops on the weekends, even though I'm really tired and sore. These were some recent finds, I got lucky and scored some Michigan bottles, but nothing local to me. Everything is pretty common-
Spun-in-mold...
There's a little cloudiness, case wear, and minor flea bites, but no no chips, cracks, or any other major damage, would look great if it was tumbled and cleaned. The embossing is a little weak, but still bold enough to see the classic, Victorian style Pepsi logo from around the turn of the...
This bottle is really stumping me. I recently found this bottle at an antique shop, and I'm not sure if it's the real deal or not, I included some crappy cell phone pictures, and hopefully a good description will give you a good idea of the bottle. Alright, so it looks to be hand blown, just...
Just some I have collected over years at bottle shows and dug up the 2nd Jacksonville in the south one year. Some are really common, but I have a few that are kinda rare. My prized possession is the Wheeling, W. Va. bottle, has a chip, but it's still a very nice S.S. coke.
I got both of these at a garage sale, I hate it that the G.W. Merchant has a broken top, but I did pay .50 for it so I shouldn't be complaining, I'll replace it someday with a complete one. I got the Spalding's Glue for .25.
Some antique store and garage sale finds, from left to right:
P. Rigney / Sing Sing / N.Y. Back of the bottle reads This bottle not to be sold
Kenks / Bottling Works / Pure and without drugs / Jackson, Mich Base reads Root
Registered / F. J. McCarthy & Co. / 225 Havre St. / East Boston...
I've been collecting for a while, and have a lot of knowledge about bottles and how to take care of them, but I need advice from someone about this thing I want to to with some of my straight sided coke bottles. I resently bought an old box full of circa 1910's coca cola bottle caps. I want...
If anybody has ss coke bottles from michigan, please tell me! Tell me about it, post a pic, and name your price, or what you want to trade for it. And... ONLY BIM!!!
w00t! my first post in almost a year! Well, ill get to the point. I bought this coca cola bottle at a antique market about 2 years ago, it's been ever since. This bottle fasnated me because it was Blown in mold! and also had notable glass manufacturer on it. It's from Tampa, FL, and has the...
Found it while digging. Once I wash all the dirt away, it turned in to a nice sign! Here's a picture of a existing one. http://www.antiqueslibrary.com/1922-coca-cola-advertising-tin-sign/ I will post a picture of it really soon, i hope. It says "IN BOTTLES" "DRINK COCA-COLA(in script, TRADE MARK...
