    Age of Shards? Pontil?

    I found these on the surface yseterday of an area that has produced bottles from the early 1900's. Anyone have a rough age estimate of these shards? Does any one know what type of bottle the shard with the embossing is? Are those pontil marks on the bottoms? Thank you all!

    Usuing Maps to find old dumps

    I have heard of people using Sanborn and EPA Maps to find and locate old town dumps etc. Anyone ever have any luck with this or know how to go about it?

    Virginia Brewing Company Bottles

    I found these 5 bottles towards the back end of a 50's dump.They say Virginia Brewing CO. Roanoke Virginia Registered.They have little bubbles in the glass and one has the seam stop at the head and the others run all the way up.They seem older than the 50's, any one have any information on these...

    Question on 1800's home.

    Pitcher bottles?

    I've been digging up several of these. They are from a site that goes back probably to the 20's. The small one on the end has Blackstone Manufacturing Company, Newark Nj on the bottom. The other ones just have a duraglas stamp. I was just wondering what were their use? I can't find anything...
