    Weird glass cat

I forgot about this :) And really? I guess it might be able to keep a door open, I haven't tried that though haha. And I really didn't think it was pontilled, I got another look at it and the cracking was mostly around the edges of the base from wear. There is just a smooth round pit in the...

    Weird glass cat

I looked up some pictures of those but they seem way too small. This one is about 4" tall.

    Weird glass cat

I'm away right now, but next week I can take another picture. And it is blue glass. :)

    Weird glass cat

I forgot to say it's got a seam around it, so I doubt it's old.

    Weird glass cat

How can I tell that? I just collect bottles very casually. And on the bottom there's a circle indentation in the middle, and it looked kind of broken around it, like it was attached to something.

    Weird glass cat

I found this on the on the bank of a stream behind my house, it looked weird so I picked it up and cleaned it. I have no idea what it's from but I thought it was kind of neat. :)

What would have been in this blue bottle?

Basically what the topic says.. I found it dumped with stuff from the 30s. There are only ridges on that one side too.

How do you find your digs/dumps?

Interesting :) A while ago I did find the top of a bottle where the seam didn't reach the top in the small stream by my house, but couldn't find anything else.

How do you find your digs/dumps?

Hm I never thought of that. And sorry for not replying, I forgot to check this haha. Since I found the old maps of the area I have quite a few ideas of places to go.. there's only a light dusting of snow, hopefully it doesn't snow more tomorrow. But about rivers, wouldn't most glass get...

How do you find your digs/dumps?

I can't believe it, but I found town maps of where I live (around 1000 people now) and the towns around it(less than that) from the 1870s, So now I know for sure what fields to look in [:)]

How do you find your digs/dumps?

Basically what the title says. I'm pretty new and only casually collect old bottles I find, mainly by following old rock walls and hoping I have luck. I won't have the means to dig privies or anything like that anytime soon. I'm asking that out of curiosity and for advice. I live in a small town...

    Contents still inside

Do you have any interesting old bottles dug with contents still inside? I'm talking early 1900s at the latest. Compared to many here, I've only dug a few small spots, so some of you probably have a lot like this, but I found these two bottles in different areas, one with the cork and some dried...

    Kreml shampoo

That's sad. When I got them the younger one (Roxie) was very skinny and had a nearly hairless tail, but the fur grew back after a while of better care. I assumed it was from malnutrition? I think she's very small for an adult ferret, even a female. And don't worry, they're in a spot they can't...

    Kreml shampoo

I'm not sure exactly, I got them secondhand from people that were basically neglecting them. I've had them for a few years now. I couldn't make a good estimate, but I know that the white one is much older than the brown one.

    Kreml shampoo

Really? I didn't even think it was that old, heh. I don't care about value though, I was just curious. The first ferret was Roxie, and this is my other one, Zoey. You can see she's missing a fang.. she's old.

    Kreml shampoo

I got this at a yardsale with a few other little bottles.. I'm an amateur collector by the way. I just wanted to know if anyone knew anything about it? How old is it? I couldn't find one like it searching quickly online. You can see there's still shampoo in i.. smells pretty good haha. (my ferret...

Info on local (Maine) soda bottles

Thanks though. I'll see what I can do.

Info on local (Maine) soda bottles

I found these two bottles at different sites and basically just want some info on them. I can't find anything on Palmer's Beverages from Houlton, Maine online.. The one on the left (or top in this case, sorry heh) looks a lot older and there's bubbles all through it. You can tell it was broken...
